This past Sunday at 12 pm, the Ukrainian Student Association held a rally by the Alma Mater in support of Ukraine and against Russia’s military assault on its people and statehood. Members of the Urbana-Champaign and UIUC community joined, bringing signs and flags to show their support of the Ukrainians in our own community and the people in Ukraine itself. Members of the Ukrainian Student Association spoke to a large crowd, telling how the conflict had impacted them and their families in Ukraine. Following the rally, the Ukrainian Student Association sold baked goods to raise money to help support Ukraine. More information on the rally can be found here.
